BECOME A Steward of St. Sarkis Armenian Orthodox Church
Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. (II Corinthians 9:7)
The St. Sarkis Stewardship Ministry provides necessary funding to support the daily operations of our church. Your support and involvement will help us grow and plan for the future, and be there for our children.
A steward of the church is a community member who supports the church above and beyond the membership fee. Stewards respond to the call to serve as servants of Christ and work not only to sustain the Church’s mission, but also to enhance that mission through a profound commitment of financial support - each according to their means.
St. Sarkis is supported by the love of our Lord Jesus and the donations of the community. The stewardship ministry has been in effect at the church to provide for expenses like electricity, insurance, etc. We would like to introduce Dr. Vahe Dayian as the chairman of the Parish Council and an involved member of the Stewardship Ministry. We are excited to have you as a part of our community and family. We pray that you have experienced that same sentiment as you have been greeted by members of our Welcome Team and have become involved in the life of the parish. Please download the pledge form and return the filled out form to Fr. Ghevond or any member of the Parish Council this Sunday.
Your annual gift to our Stewardship Ministry will help sustain our parish and contribute toward its growth, thus ensuring that our children, grandchildren and family will always have a place of worship to call their home in the years ahead. Your regular gifts to stewardship entitles you to fully benefit from the parish's various ministries while financially supporting the work of your Armenian Church.
May God bless your devotion to our Church. St. Sarkis Parish Council
To live as an Orthodox Steward is to live a challenging and spiritually fulfilling life - aware of God's ever-present Providence, prompting and grace. We respond to His Grace by offering ourselves, our material resources and 'all of our life to Christ our God.' This spiritual dynamics of offering form the basis of an Orthodox life of stewardship which is God-centered and Eucharistic - filled with thanksgiving and joy.
