TABERNACLE (MAJOR) FEASTS/ՏԱՂԱՒԱՐ ՏՕՆԵՐ

The Armenian Orthodox Church has five major, or Tabernacle, feasts: the Nativity, the Resurrection, the Transfiguration, the Assumption of Mary and the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. It is during these feasts that the Church and faithful remember the saving acts of God. These five feasts were established by the early church to demonstrate God's active role in the history of humanity and how, through Christ Jesus, salvation comes to the world.

"Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them." (Hebrews 7:25)
There are many other feasts in the Armenian Church calendar, which have their own special and unique prayers, hymns and traditions. Below are some of them.
