The Armenian Orthodox Church has five major, or Tabernacle, feasts: the Nativity, the Resurrection, the Transfiguration, the Assumption of Mary and the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. It is during these feasts that the Church and faithful remember the saving acts of God. These five feasts were established by the early church to demonstrate God's active role in the history of humanity and how, through Christ Jesus, salvation comes to the world.
